As the reality of COVID-19 unfolds we continue to prioritize the health and well-being of everyone in the Teledyne Princeton Instruments family and remain committed to maintaining the high standards of the partnerships we enjoy with our customers and suppliers.
 
Guidelines provided by the CDC, OSHA and local governments have been implemented in all our workplaces, including flexible worksites, targeted housekeeping, social-distancing, internet-based meetings, as well as policies and procedures for employees to report illness.
 
Please read the details below to learn about these programs and processes that insure strong communication with our customers and continued production and customer service. 
 

Staying Connected

We know your research demands effective interaction with our company and we are focused on maintaining communication with our customers. While in-person discussions and demonstrations have always been successful, we will continue to offer other efficient methods to assist you with your requirements.
 
"Try and Buy" Program
Many of our customers have postponed product demonstrations due to travel restrictions. For many of you, on-site demonstration was the last “check box” prior to approving the purchase. For this reason we want to remind you of our Try and Buy Program. 
 
How does Try and Buy work? 
  • To avoid delays in the procurement process, upon receipt of your written request and a brief consultation with us, we will ship the product to you prior to a purchase order being processed. 
  • Once you have validated that the product meets your needs, notify us that you intend to issue a PO for the product(s). 
  • If the product does not meet your requirements, we will consult with you on another solution, or issue a Return Authorization for the product.
  • Contact us with your request and receive more details.

Maintaining Service and Support - We hear you!  

Many of our valued customers have contacted us with concerns about our ability to service them and their organization. While the future is unpredictable, we have no immediate plans to change our current level of support. We are fully functional in areas of manufacturing, customer support and shipping. And, we have contingency plans in place to prevent disruptions in our ability to service you.
 

 
  • Quality standards. Teledyne Princeton Instruments manufactures high performance products that require exacting detail in the materials we use and the processes we follow. Coincidentally, these self-imposed quality standards compliment the guidelines recommended for fighting the COVID-19 virus.
     
  • Dedicated production work stations. Our workflow consists of specialized technicians dedicated to assembly and testing of specific products. This arrangement reduces handling of material by multiple employees, and maintains the distancing in excess of recommended guidelines
     
  • Healthy environments. Due to the requirements for reduced contamination and to maintain the integrity of our assemblies, we maintain several clean environments in which our technicians assemble our products. As a result, many of our employees are able to continue their normal work routine without any increased exposure to viral infection.
     
  • Supply chain. Our cameras and spectrometers are designed from the ground up to provide maximum performance and years of worry-free operation.  We have established long-term supplier relationships for all of our components and maintain up to one-year of consignment inventory for numerous critical components. We continue to be in regular contact with our suppliers as we navigate through the current challenges.
